IOM Montenegro and Partners Launch Info Sessions to Raise Awareness About Risks of Irregular Migration
Spuz - In collaboration with UNHCR Montenegro, NGO Gradjanska alijansa, and the Ministry of Interior, IOM Montenegro has successfully initiated the first series of information sessions for migrants. These sessions were held at the Center for Reception of Foreigners Seeking International Protection in Spuz and the Department for Reception Foreigners Seeking International Protection in Bozaj.
This endeavor is a crucial component of the IOM WB Aware Project, which receives support from the EU-AMIF and the Ministries of Interior of Germany and Austria. Its primary objective is to heighten awareness about the risks associated with irregular migration.
The information sessions provide a valuable platform for migrants to learn about where to seek assistance when needed, understand their rights in Montenegro, and engage in discussions regarding their expectations and the alternatives available to them in the context of their journeys.
This concerted effort aims to empower migrants with essential knowledge, ultimately contributing to their safety and well-being in Montenegro.
