IOM Montenegro Empowers Social Workers to Apply Rights-based Approach for Children on the Move
Budva - IOM Montenegro has successfully conducted a training program titled "Utilizing a Rights-Based Approach for Return Counseling and Assistance for Children and Families." The training, which took place from March 23 to 24, 2023, in Budva, Montenegro, aimed to equip social workers in Montenegro with practical tools and knowledge to provide essential support and assistance in the context of returning children and their families.
This initiative is carried out as part of the "Western Balkans Return and Reintegration Programme Phase II," which is generously funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. It underscores IOM Montenegro's commitment to strengthening the capabilities of social workers and authorities who work with children and families in the Western Balkans, ensuring a rights-based approach is applied to support those on the move.
