Capacity Building in Detection of Forged Documents
Series of training sessions for Border Police officers on detection of forged documents commenced on 24 October in Kolašin. By the end of the year, in total six training sessions for Montenegrin Border Police will be conducted under the regional project Western Balkans Integrated Border Management Capacity Building Facility - WBIBM, greatly enhancing capacities for detection of forged documents. Participants will have an opportunity to get acquainted, through practical examples and exercises, with the process of checking and verifying security features in a document, checking for obvious traces of manipulation, impostor detection and other relevant aspects of documents check. The activity plays a pivotal role in the broader mission to fortify border management and security in the Western Balkans. By empowering border officers with the knowledge and skills to detect forged documents effectively, the region takes a notable stride forward in addressing potential threats, ensuring security, and maintaining the integrity of border controls.
