DTM MONTENEGRO MIGRATION DATA AND ROUTES QUARTERLY REPORT JANUARY-MARCH 2024
This is a quarterly report on the survey conducted as part of the regional project “Support to Evidence-Based Migration Management in the Western Balkans.” This initiative is supported by the Government of the United Kingdom and aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of migration patterns in the region.
The data presented in this report covers the period from January 1 to March 31, 2024. During this timeframe, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) conducted daily interviews with migrants across various locations in Montenegro.
Interviews were carried out at key sites including Reception Centers Božaj and Spuž, as well as active transit locations in Pljevlja and Rožaje. A total of 319 individuals participated in the survey, providing valuable insights into their profiles, experiences, needs, and the trajectories of their journeys.
As the survey is conducted on a daily basis, this report represents only the first of many quarterly updates. Future reports will continue to build on the data collected, offering ongoing insights into migration trends and aiding in the development of effective migration management strategies.
The continuous efforts to gather and analyze data are crucial for understanding and responding to migration dynamics in the Western Balkans. We extend our gratitude to all participants and stakeholders involved in this project for their invaluable contributions.
