IOM Montenegro Attended Annual Meeting With Regional Cooperation Council
Budva - RCC participants discussions were around the three key mobility agreements that were signed in Berlin in November 2022 which provide basis for crucial step in creation of the Common Regional Market (CRM) through Berlin Process Initiative and operationalizing the SEE2030 Strategy, as well about the RCC future vision on the integrated regional approach, improved democracy and anticorruption, as well human capital and labor mobility.
On behalf of the IOM Director General, the IOM Chief of Mission in Montenegro thanked the RCC Secretary General Ms. Majlinda Bregu and RCC secretariat for the invitations and congratulated for the RCC achievements on their work on mobility agreements and for the adopted annual report as well as for future vision.
He stated that IOM will continue to share our experience and expertise in these areas and assist member states in improving Migration Management in general. In addition, IOM is ready to continue and strengthen collaboration with RCC and Regional Governments in addressing challenges within the labor mobility (circular migration), work with Diaspora to bring back to the region Diaspora’s knowledge, skills, and network to build better societies, as well readiness to work on improving remittance flow and decrease transactional costs.
