IOM Montenegro Continues to Strengthen and Enhance Capacities of Montenegrin National Institutions in Combatting Trafficking in Human Beings
Podgorica - IOM Montenegro organized the sixth workshop on “Identification and referral of victims of trafficking - implementation of the National Plan for Formal Identification of Victims of Trafficking (VoTs)” from 12 to 13 April 2023 in Budva, Montenegro.
Through six workshops, IOM aimed at increasing knowledge and strengthening capacities of national stakeholders, specifically, the NGOs, the social care and police authorities on identification and referral of VoTs, but also introduce them to the Standards Operating Procedures for Formal Identification and their roles within the system of identification and protection.
This activity was organized in the scope of two complementary projects: “Enhancing migrant reintegration and protection services in Montenegro” funded by the IOM Development Fund and “Western Balkans Joint Action Against Smuggling of Migrant and Trafficking in Human Beings (WBJAST)” funded by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
