Preparatory work for construction of the new Montenegro Border Police Administrative Building and National Coordination Center started
Under the project "Individual Measure to Strengthen Integrated Border Management Capacities in Montenegro," funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Agency for Migration - International Organization for Migration in Montenegro (IOM Montenegro), preparatory work for the construction of administrative building for the Border Police Sector commenced; Hence, the future National Coordination Center (NCC) will be part of this facility.
The preparatory work for the construction of administrative building includes clearing and preparing the plot, setting up warehouse space and garages, as well as relocating existing installations. The future building, with a total gross area of 1,423.14 m², will be constructed in Zagoric, Podgorica, with a maximum height of (P+3), representing a modern, functional facility in line with EU best practices.
This project, commenced in March 2023 and aims to enhance Montenegro's capacity for effective external border management and align operations with EU standards.
