Providing sustainable and long-term protection and assistance to victims of trafficking in Montenegro

In the pursuit of safeguarding the rights and well-being of trafficking victims in Montenegro, IOM has significantly contributed to the enhancement of shelter facilities.

Under the project "Western Balkans joint actions against smuggling of migrants and trafficking in human beings", supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, our commitment extends towards providing sustainable, long-term protection and assistance for the most vulnerable individuals affected.

The capacitation of this shelter represents a pivotal step for Montenegro, aiming at bridging imminent gaps in protection systems and enabling access to sheltering assistance to P/VoTs.

This effort is integral to the overarching goal of strengthening protection and assistance mechanisms dedicated to victims of trafficking.

IOM remains committed to working towards fostering a safer environment and a resilient support system for those in need.
