Strenghtening Readmission Cooperation in the Western Balkans
Pristina, Kosovo - Under the framework of the regional initiative known as the "Western Balkans Readmission Capacity Building Facility (WBCAP)," which is financially supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, officials responsible for readmission matters from Montenegro and Kosovo came together in Pristina on the 10th of May.
The event, which was orchestrated by IOM, created a platform for the exchange of information between the two delegations, specifically regarding the monitoring of the bilateral Readmission agreement, readmission policies, and collaboration with countries of origin.
Furthermore, this gathering allowed Montenegro's participants to become familiar with the operation of the E-kiosk system, which serves as a digital method for providing status documents to the citizens of Kosovo. They also contemplated the possibility of applying similar digitalization approaches in Montenegro as a forward-looking step.
