Jahorina, Bosnia and Herzegovina - A significant event commenced in Jahorina, Bosnia and Herzegovina – a sub-regional training program dedicated to countering human trafficking and migrant smuggling. This training, designed around the simulation of parallel investigations with a strong emphasis on victim-centered interviewing, promises to offer valuable insights to participants. These participants represent prosecution offices, ministries of interior and police agencies, as well as social welfare institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia.

The primary goal of this simulation-based training is to enhance the understanding of the roles of these representatives in responding to human trafficking and migrant smuggling, particularly within mixed migration flows. The focus of the simulation is on fostering efficient and well-coordinated inter-institutional cooperation in conducting parallel investigations and providing specialized protection and assistance to victims of human trafficking.

This vital training initiative is made possible with the support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
