UN Montenegro Conducted PSEA Training to Enhance Staff Competence in Addressing Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and Sexual Harassment (SH)
During June 2024, IOM Montenegro's PSEA Focal Point, Ms. Dijana Ostojić, together with PSEA focal points from UNHCR (Milica Radonjić), UNDP (Ana Janković), UNICEF (Nada Đurović Martinović), and RCO (Vanja Šćepović), conducted four refresher training sessions for all UN Montenegro staff.
These interactive sessions provided participants with valuable opportunities to ask questions, engage in meaningful discussions, and deepen their understanding of the critical concepts of reporting and recognizing incidents of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and Sexual Harassment (SH).
Through practical exercises and case study scenarios, staff members were able to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle these sensitive issues. This initiative is a key component of the UN PSEA Action Plan 2024, meticulously developed by the UN PSEA Task Force group. This dedicated team includes representatives from IOM, UNHCR, UNDP, UNICEF, and RCO, all working collaboratively to strengthen our collective response to SEA and SH.
Our commitment to creating a safer and more supportive environment for everyone is unwavering. By fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and mutual respect, we aim to protect the dignity and rights of all individuals, ensuring a secure and inclusive workplace.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants and trainers for their dedication and engagement.
Together, we are making significant strides towards a future free from exploitation and harassment.
