Upgrading Conditions for Migrants Reception at the Border
Bozaj - IOM Montenegro within the framework of the project “Addressing Mixed Migration Flows in the Western Balkans”, funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro conducted improvement construction work at the Open Transit Center in Karaula Bozaj.
These works involved construction of foundations for the installation of two room containers intended for reception of the migrants, along with a water and sanitation container. It is also important to note that street lighting has been installed to improve visibility within the camp, especially for those migrants that are arriving during the evening hours.
The installation of the containers aims to provide adequate temporary accommodation for migrants while they await the registration process, ensuring their stay in protective conditions.
Our dedication to this initiative remains steadfast, reflecting our commitment to addressing migration challenges comprehensively and in partnership.
